Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage
Wasabi positions itself as a cheaper, faster S3 and inherits the S3 misconfig taxonomy. Public buckets accept the same `?list-type=2` enumeration against `s3.<region>.wasabisys.com`.

Common misconfiguration class
Wasabi imposes a 90-day minimum-storage charge that discourages bucket deletion, so old "we'll fix it later" buckets accumulate and drift open while costing the operator real money.
Real-world impact
Identical to S3: public list + public read = full data exfiltration with one HTTP request per object.
Remediation
- Apply the same bucket-policy hardening you would for S3: deny `s3:*` for `Principal: "*"` unless explicitly intended.
- Enable bucket logging so you can spot unexpected anonymous access patterns.
URL patterns
Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage buckets typically resolve under hostnames like:
example.s3.us-east-1.wasabisys.comexample.s3.eu-central-1.wasabisys.com
